I have friends, family, a job, a roof, a mode of transport, and doing good health wise (at least for now). This is the case for me, you and billions of other people in our dear world. So this would be considered normal in general. Well for a lot this ain't enough.
We look at Gates, Ambani, Mittal and lot of other film stars, and wish to be in their place. And the desire for some is so much, that they fail to see what they have with them right now. Look at film stars. They have all the fame, the money and luxuries in life. But can they go and shop in stores without being thronged by fans? It does feel nice to be recognised, but after a point it just gets annoying. They crave for freedom and wish for a place where they cannot be identified. Yes, Antarctica. A string of flops will get you back to square one. That's the price you pay for fame. Do you want to too?
The industry bigwigs are up there either, coz they are smart or, their dad's were. They have billions at their disposal, dozens of houses and exotic cars at their drive way. But do they have the time to enjoy it? There is constant pressure to outperform, or the stock price will fall to 2 cents and make them worthless.
My job pays peanuts, but I "have" a job. I bought a car, which is boring and worth 50 cents on a five year loan, but it runs. I don't have a mansion, but it does provide me shelter. I might catch a cold, but have medicine for it. Have friends and family to rely on. Really, normal is just fine.
Two kinds of people will never be happy, a optimist and a pessimist. The pessimist will never be satisfied, ever, and the optimist will be continually disappointed because life is unfair. We should be a combination of both, pessimist in terms of future and optimist in terms of present and past.
According to me there are different aspects in life. You could have looks or money or health or personality or a combination of more than one. A good looking person might have a ego as big as the sun, he might not be rich, or could have a kidney failure soon. A rich person might not have good looks. A healthy person might not have good personality. A person with most could be gay.
You can do hundreds of permutations and combinations. People could have either one, or some, or most of the qualities, but none with all.

i've always said this..especially after the dialogue in "Rang De Basanti" which says " we have one leg in the past, one in the future and end up pissing on the present" (when translated). This is so true. Put yourself in any one-on-one conversations, you will either hear someone saying wonderful things of his past and how he/she misses it or hear someone else talking about all their dreams for the future and how they are working hard giving up everything now for a wonderful bright life after 40 or 50. Very rarely do you come across someone who says i am happy today for what i have today and am cherishing it right now.
yeah, thats the best dialogue :) and yet so true :)
are you saying that a person with more than 1 good attribute (aka me) is gay??
me no gay, u gay :)
No you still gay :p
