Oh, Another Recall?

There is a reason why we pay for products, and why they are not free. One, we can't make them ourselves. Two, we trust it for its quality. We believe the company selling it has done its research and tested the products on rats, Russians and so on, so that its safe for normal human beings. Off late it doesn't seem so.

The latest recall is for pistachios. And nowadays people do not panic about any product recalls. They check if they have any, and toss into the trash. Just like milk going bad. Everyday there seems to be a new one. But there is hardly any penalty applied towards the company selling it. They screw up and say they want everything back. What is the quality department doing? Or, is there one? People shouldn't let this go like Donald Trump's hairdo. 

Apart from American companies recalling their cars twice a week, which can't be fixed just like Paris Hilton. It all started with the Mad cow disease. In 2003 all beef products had to be recalled. Any person who consumed it basically became mad and died. Japan is the highest importer of beef, since all of them busy catching insects and fish.

Then came peanut butter. I was happy since  I can't seem to stand it. I can have peanuts but not a buttered version of it. Why peanut butter when you can have butter? The Americans are obsessed with peanut butter. They put them on everything. Chocolates, bread, cookies, etc. I won't be surprised if they use it as a facial.

Next in line was tomatoes. Heinz got a shock of its life. The main ingredient of ketchup is a tomato. At that point they probably considered switching to peanut ketchup. Later was a egg recall. The list goes on.

Food is one thing, but its a pain when a prescription drug has a recall. One person falls sick and to feel better he takes some medicine. Later he doesn't feel anything at all. Well, that's because he's dead. The sad part is that it is detected only after a person dies. And confirmed, after another 10 die.

Car recalls happen quite a lot. Even European and Japanese manufacturers are giving the Americans company. Part of the reason is Ford or GM owns one of them. Ford had a recall for one of their SUV's. It had a habit of rolling over and lying on its back, instead of its wheels. Its so bad that if you tell your dog to rollover, next to the SUV, the SUV obeys your command too. 

I am still longing to hear about one recall. From Toyota, for all the Corolla's. Them realizing that it is not a car after all.
