Dubai, is known as the Vegas of the middle east. Or at least, they are trying hard to make it seem like it. So far they are successful on the weather front. Both places are like god's little pre-heated frying pans. On the other hand the improvements made, aren't a cake walk either. No other city has seen so much developments in less than a decade. It has the worlds tallest, biggest, widest, smallest everything. The cities marketing team is working hard to get people to their city.
Unlike the other Arab countries, things are a little lenient here. Alcohol flows like water. Actually, water isn't quite the right term for a desert. You get the point. If the Arab's ran out of alcohol, they turn to their ever dependable cough syrups. The unofficial red light area in Dubai, can pretty much send Amsterdam into hiding.
Dubai is a shoppers paradise. Name it. You have it there. The ones you don't name, are also there. Real estate prices are comparable to the ones in California. If you are white, then you'll be treated like a King there. The neighbouring cities around Dubai seem like ghost towns during the weekends as, all of them flock to Dubai. The traffic is so bad, that by the time they reach Dubai, its time to go back. Unlike other countries you can land in Dubai and then get a Visitors Visa.
A couple of months back, Dubai's reputation got seriously hit when a British couple took the leniency a bit too far in Dubai, and were being intimate on a public beach. They were arrested and the first outcome was that they weren't a couple. Then they were fined and kicked out of the country. The last I heard they were seen on a beach somewhere in UK. With someone else. The so called couple sparked a lot of debate IN Dubai and then a lot of laws were imposed. No holding hands in public. Now the mothers are having a tough time controlling their two dozen kids, without holding their hands. No kissing in public. The mothers are having a problem showing their affection towards their kids again. No sex in public. No comments.
That reminds me of craziness, which reminds me of the world super power. The US. I think at this point of time, this country is in the same shape as Somalia. Hopeless, to be precise. Recently I heard of a rule being imposed at schools. No hugging policy. If allowed, cannot last for more than 2 seconds. All the schools are now being filled with moral cops holding a stop watch in their hands.
They say that hugging is causing a lot of problems. The corridors is filled with kids hugging each other. When you take into account that around 500 kids are in one school. Each one trying to hug another is a mundane task. Another problem being the kids are taking advantage while hugging. Some kids were found doing it, grinding, etc. Another problem is that parents were not comfortable with the fact that other kids were hugging their kids. Why don't these parents try home schooling?
This country has way too many serious problems to be taken care of. The hugging doesn't quite make it to the list. Imposing too many stupid rules on kids, will make them do even stupider things. Like sporting Donald Trump's hair do. I know it doesn't make sense, nor does Trump's hair. Apparently hugging eases out tension, elevates a person's mood, etc. When there are so many advantages, why restrict it because of some clowns spoiling the show? Lets leave these poor kids alone and let them at least show their affection towards each other. Till then, (()). Apparently that stands for 'hug' in today's chat lingo. I am still trying to figure out why.

C'mon man, (()) is very simple.
from a bird's eye view two people have their arms extended about to hug each other :)
Hmm that 'kinda' makes sense. But I must say, those two people have very HUGE arms :P
